The(stylist) gift of Omnipeace
I'm always on the hunt for the next level of gift giving. Something meaningful, original. I think I may have found the final frontier. Humanitarian fashion brand OmniPeace has four new styles of bags for the stylish bag-toting world saver. You can choose between flashy sequin totes or utilitarian jute. Or, for a cheaper option, bracelets designed by Alexa Rose. As with all OmniPeace apparel and accessories, 25 percent of the proceeds go to charities promoting peace, education, human rights, and an end to extreme poverty in Africa by 2025.

The whimsical collection — with names such as the "Poodle Boot" and "Film Noir Bootie" — will include seven shoe styles and two handbags. We can't wait to get our hands on these cute Cuban heel tie-up sandals!

Awesome Americana: Donna Karan

Awesome Americana: Donna Karan Let's continue our tribute to this year's Costume Institute Gala by honoring the epitome of American woman: Donna Karan. We spoke to the NYC designer at a Neiman Marcus appearance not too long ago — she had a lot to say, like, "If you can't sleep in it, then forget it." Besides being articulate and wildly zen, Donna is also super fashionable. In her 60s, she continues to keep up appearances, mainly dressing utilitarian with a chic edge. She prefers loose-fitting clothes, sexy draping, and moody colors. I'll let her work speak for itself.

ALDO Brightens Rainy April Days

ALDO Brightens Rainy April Days ALDO always has fun with fashion. We've all seen its latest ad campaign featuring cutie pie Jessica Stam going bubble gum glam. The retailer just dipped into nail polish with ALDO Nail Lacquer. Colors are unexpected and daring, and they've got the goods to match. Color stories are told, colors are bold. I'm a sucker for all things turquoise, so this "Poolside in Malibu" scene steals my heart. All accessories are now available in stores and online; you can find polishes in ALDO stores. Trend alert:Icy cool frocksGwyneth, Carrie, Scarlett — megawatt style power. And they're all embracing Spring's array of icy cool frocks. With fashion on the cusp of returning to minimalism, these modern frocks feel so right. Gwyneth, in tailored smoky gray Victoria Beckham collection, brings life to her look via Georgina Goodman "Love" heels. Carrie is flirty and flashy in her plunging Rafael Cennamo party dress. And Scarlett is sophisticated in her curve-hugging Roland Mouret with sculptured sleeves. No, you don't have to be a beautiful blonde to wear one; yes, you will have this dress for years to come.

Cynthia rowley's sassy slim shapewear line

Cynthia rowley's sassy slim shapewear line
Cynthia Rowley has a jam-packed agenda these days. She's surfing with Roxy, making bridesmaids chic, and now she's adding underwear to her repertoire. SLIM by Cynthia Rowley launches this Fall and combines elements of shapewear and lingerie. Love the color combos and colorblock element. Somehow I predict this fashion-forward line will further energize the shapewear market!

Closet cleanse
Editor’s note: The following is a guest post written by Rachel Zoe, stylist, fashion designer, and creator of The Zoe Report. This week Rachel helps us organize our closets — listen up!
Cleanliness is next to godliness, especially in terms of your closet if you consider yourself a devoted follower of fashion. As a stylist, I am a firm believer that all clothes, shoes, and accessories should be treated with a lot of respect. That is, dresses neatly hung up, heels placed carefully inside labeled boxes, and jewelry laid gently out on trays for your viewing pleasure. This kind of organization will not only preserve the quality of your things, but also makes the process of putting together an outfit much less complicated than if everything was in disarray. We all know the stress of losing 30 minutes of our day to a search party for a missing platform pump — disaster — so the goal is to avoid those kind of incidents at all costs. Read on for a few of my personal tricks of the closetry trade, and keep them in mind as you delve into your own spring cleaning! xoRZ
